Koreans use language very wierdly.

Koreans use language very wierdly.
They focus on the deep meaning than surface meaning of the discourse. Sometimes the sentences expressed mean the opposite of the surface meaning in deepr sense. Koreans also say what they cannot keep.

At the end of a conversation, they often say, " Let's have dinner together soon." or " I will call you some time next week." But don't expect the person will call you to have dinner next week. The words were just for a smooth ending of the conversation. This way of using language seems developed into a social custom or a part of culture. The peson is not honest in the real sense, but in KOrea he or she is not considred so.

It's strange!! Even to me, a korean! I think it's bad culture for that matter. So people from different cultrues had better think carefully when they hear unfixed promises and ask specifically about the promise.
